Spain has 3 types of educational institutions, which are not only adapted to the pockets but also the areas where we have the domicile and the specific requirements such as family (religion, languages, activities, etc.)
To start we have public schools, as their name is given, they are managed by the different public administrations (example Madrid community) and therefore totally depends on them, they are characterized mainly by being secular and free, excluding the area of early childhood education.
On the other hand, we have concerts, which are those colleges and schools that have a shared management between the State and private organizations (many of them are run by the clergy or religious education organizations), they have a cost, but it is quite accessible that the State subsidizes them.
Both in public and public schools there are different types of offer, such as bilingual or trilingual, with technical or musical areas, etc. and to apply for a place to any of these types of concerted institutions, you must be registered in the neighborhood where you are.
Private schools and colleges differ mainly from the rest of the types of institutions in which the State does not intervene and therefore does not subsidize the student’s enrollment, the family home is not considered for enrollment, they are not registered and they do not specifically follow the conventional education model.
